Calories, counted for you.
Countwell is a fast, honest food log. Set your target once, log meals in seconds, and always know what's left today.
We’re finishing the first release. Account creation and downloads will open at launch.

Photo scan
Snap the plate. It does the math.
One photo. Countwell reads the plate, splits it into ingredients, and prices each one against real nutrition data — grams, calories, macros. You glance, adjust a portion if you want, and it’s logged.

The reason it exists
Restaurant meals, itemized.
Logging a Chipotle or Cava bowl shouldn’t mean hunting the database for every scoop. That one friction is why Countwell exists. Pull up the restaurant’s actual menu, tap what’s in your bowl, and log the whole order in one tap — every item counted, nothing guessed.

iPhone + web
One diary.
Every screen.
Log lunch from your laptop and dinner from your phone. Countwell keeps one chronological diary that syncs between the iPhone app and countwell.app — and the web version is the full app, not a viewer.
- Same log, same numbers, everywhere you open it
- Edit on the web, it's already on your phone
- No import, no export, no copy-paste

What’s inside
Every fast way in — and what to do with it.
The parts every tracker should get right, done without the clutter: search and see where you stand — plus a coach link and logging by conversation when you want them.
A million foods, actually searchable
Type what you ate in plain words, or pull up brands and packaged foods. Save the meals you eat often so logging them again is one tap.
Progress you can read at a glance
Weight trend, macro averages, and where you stand against your goal — with a quiet nudge when something's drifting, never a lecture.
A live link for your coach
Share a read-only view of your diary. Your coach sees days as you log them, and you can turn the link off at any time.
Log by talking to your AI assistant
Connect through MCP and log by conversation with Claude, ChatGPT, or another AI assistant. The entry lands in your Countwell diary a moment later, and your data stays in Countwell.
How it works
Set it once, then just log.
- 01
Set your target
Two minutes of questions become a daily calorie and macro budget. Adjust it whenever your goal changes.
- 02
Log as you go
Search, barcode, saved meals, restaurants, photo scan, or a message to your AI assistant. However lunch happens, it takes seconds.
- 03
See what's left
One ring and three bars. Enough to decide dinner — no dashboards, no streak to protect, no noise.

FAQ
Common questions
What’s included, iPhone vs web, and what happens to your data.
Will Countwell be free?
Yes. When Countwell launches, the core food log will be free on iPhone and the web, with no ads and no trial clock. Search, restaurant meals, saved foods, goals, and progress will be included. Photo scanning, barcode scanning, coach sharing, and the AI connector will be part of Countwell Premium.
Will I need an iPhone?
No. Countwell is being built for both the browser and iPhone. The iPhone app will add camera features for photo and barcode scanning.
What is the AI connector?
It uses MCP, the standard that lets AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and others work with other apps. Once connected, you can log meals, search foods, and ask about your week from inside a conversation. Your data stays in Countwell, and you can disconnect at any time.
How is Countwell different from MyFitnessPal?
Countwell does one thing well: an accurate, fast food log. There are no ads, water reminders, badges, or social feeds. Instead you get a full web app, itemized restaurant meals, coach sharing, and logging through your AI assistant.
